Board of Directors
Each Federal Reserve Bank and its branches are supervised by a board of directors. Each board has three classes of directors (A, B, and C) with three members in each class.
Class A Directors
Class A Directors are elected by member banks to represent member banks.
Class B Directors
Class B Directors are elected by member banks to represent the public and are chosen with consideration of agriculture, commerce, industry, services, labor, and consumers.
Class C Directors
Class C Directors are appointed by Board of Governors to represent the public and are chosen with consideration of agriculture, commerce, industry, services, labor, and consumers. Two Class C directors of the Bank are designated, by the Board of Governors, as chairman and deputy chairman of the board for one-year terms.
