
Biography
Andrew Breneman is an assistant vice president in the corporate affairs department and also serves as the assistant corporate secretary and deputy chief of staff. In his role, Andrew assists the vice president, corporate secretary and chief of staff in managing all activities related to the Bank’s Board of Directors and addressing various corporate matters. He provides executive-level assistance to the Bank’s senior leadership team and works on a variety of activities that advance the Bank’s vision and mission. As the administrative officer in corporate affairs, Andrew drives the department’s strategic goals and objectives and manages its general operations.
Andrew joined the Bank in 2025 and most recently served as a senior human resources business partner for National IT based out of the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond. There, he worked alongside business leaders to develop talent management strategies for an ever-evolving business environment and supported reorganization and workforce planning efforts. Previously, Andrew served in a chief-of-staff-type role to the Richmond Fed’s chief human resource officer. Prior to the Fed, Andrew worked in finance at Virginia529 and served in leadership roles at The Home Depot.
Andrew has a master’s in human resource management from the University of Richmond and a bachelor’s in criminal justice from Old Dominion University. Andrew served on the Board of Associates for Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden in Richmond.
