Briana Warner is the CEO of Atlantic Sea Farms based in Maine. She is passionate about Maine and working to create a more resilient coastal economy through local empowerment of the working waterfront and diversified fishing incomes. Briana and her team have created a new path for seaweed aquaculture in the U.S. by working with fishermen to grow kelp as a climate adaption strategy and now produce the vast majority of farmed kelp in the US. Briana, a former diplomat in the US Foreign Service, is a board member for the Maine Aquaculture Association, a member of the Governor's Workforce Board, the Department of Marine Resources Advisory Council, and the Maine Aquaculture Innovation Center.
