
Biography
Chanah Stern is an assistant vice president at the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston for the FedNow® Service Program. In her role, Chanah leads the FedNow business delivery team and is responsible for product feature prioritization, execution, and go-to-market activities. More broadly, Chanah collaborates closely with stakeholders across FedNow and Federal Reserve Financial Services to achieve product business objectives and milestones.
Chanah joined the New York Fed in 2007, then FedNow in 2019, before transferring to the Boston Reserve Bank in 2021 as a senior product manager. Her most recent role was as director of FedNow product management. In prior roles, Chanah has also overseen critical onboarding relationships on FedNow and worked on the fraud controls roadmap. Additionally, Chanah established a popular and engaging two-track mentoring program within the FedNow business organization. One track is for career management, the other helps staff expand FedNow and banking knowledge.
Chanah is a graduate of Hunter College and received a master’s degree from Northwestern University. She has participated in the System Leadership Initiative’s Thrive Program and recently attended the Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce Women’s Leadership Program.
