Biography
Edward (Ed) O’Connor is a senior vice president in the Financial Support Office (FSO) at the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston. Ed oversees the FSO Financial Planning and Analysis and Cost Accounting teams and provides leadership and guidance in an evolving financial management ecosystem. Ed partners with other FSO leaders to build a diverse and inclusive community committed to innovation and strategic and delivery excellence. In his role, he collaborates with other Federal Reserve Banks’ chief financial officers and represents the FSO on financial matters before key leadership communities across the Federal Reserve System.
Ed has more than 30 years of experience in the banking industry. Prior to joining the Boston Fed in 2024, he served as chief financial officer at Scotiabank, where he provided strategic direction, leadership, and oversight for the domestic finance division. Ed previously held roles at JP Morgan Asset Management, Barclays Capital, and Bank of America, among other institutions.
Ed earned a bachelor’s degree from Fordham University and an MBA from New York University.
