
Biography
Stephen L. Lewis is president and CEO of Thomaston Savings Bank. Lewis joined the Bank in 2006 as chief financial officer and was promoted to president and CEO in 2010. Lewis previously worked at the FDIC as a safety and soundness examiner for 15 years. Under his leadership, Thomaston Savings Bank has increased greatly in asset size, expanded into new markets, and has invested significantly in new technology and improving client experience. Lewis currently serves on the Legislative Committee of the Connecticut Bankers Association and the Board of the Connecticut Community Bankers Association. He serves on several committees for the American Bankers Association: the Community Bankers Council, the Membership Council, and the Core Platforms Administrative Council. He is active in his community, serving as a member Rotary Club of Thomaston, vice chair of the Thomaston Rotary Scholarship Investment Committee, corporator for the Bristol Hospital, chairman of the Blakeslee Scholarship Committee, Executive Committee member and treasurer for the Connecticut Bar Foundation, and member of the United Way Greater Waterbury Campaign Leadership Committee.
